ICYMI: Kristen McDonald Rivet Called out for Fearmongering

A new report shows that Kristen McDonald Rivet is once again lying and fearmongering, prioritizing partisan political games over Michiganders. 

Kristen McDonald Rivet claimed to ‘save’ the Saginaw Social Security Office, but the truth is the office’s future was never in jeopardy and not a single Social Security office has closed across the nation. 

“Out of touch Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet has failed Michiganders at every turn, resorting to lies and fearmongering to cover up her disastrous record. Michigan voters are tired of her partisan games and will show her the door next year.” – NRCC spokesman Zach Bannon

An official from President Donald Trump’s administration says the Saginaw office’s future was never in jeopardy and no Social Security offices have closed nationwide this year.

“This no-name Congresswoman Rivet should pivot away from her freshman class antics and get serious about serving her constituents, not her desire to make news,” said White House spokeswoman Liz Huston.

The administration says there are no plans to close Saginaw’s Social Security office. Lee Dudek, acting commissioner for the agency, visited the office on April 14 and assured staff members that it will remain open.

“Rivet should take a page from Michigan’s Governor and work with President Trump, who Michiganders voted to reelect. President Trump has repeatedly promised to protect and strengthen Social Security,” Huston said.
