RATING CHANGE: Jared Golden’s seat moves toward Republicans

The Center for Politics just moved Jared Golden’s race rating toward Republicans, shifting the race from “Leans Democratic” to “Toss-up.”

This is the latest in a string of bad news for Golden, who’s had a no good, very bad, last few weeks:

• A recent poll has Golden losing to Republican Paul LePage by five points
• “Numerous” members of Golden’s own party are backing a primary challenge against him
• His approval rating is at an abysmal 16%
• He voted to HIKE taxes on Mainers by 24% –  and they are NOT happy
• And Golden’s been caught flip-flopping on every issue under the sun
