Sarah’s Medicaid Lies
Last night, out of touch Sarah Trone Garriott staged political circus to make false claims about the “One Big, Beautiful Bill Act,” which would protect and strengthen Medicaid for the most vulnerable in our community.
Her message was loud and clear: she’d rather hike taxes on Iowa families by 23% than cut off handouts to illegal immigrants and able-bodied freeloaders. Sarah Trone Garriott’s extreme tax-and-spend agenda would make life more expensive across the board:
- Slamming the average family of four with a $1,588 tax hike—enough to wipe out two months of groceries
- Gutting the Child Tax Credit for 84,660 Iowa families who depend on it
- Doubling the Death Tax, putting 13,984 family farms at risk
- Hammering Iowa small businesses with a crushing 43.4% tax hike
The numbers don’t lie and neither do the voters. A recent poll shows just how out of touch Sarah Trone Garriot really is:
- 72% of Americans support stricter work requirements for Medicaid
- 68% support the bill’s military funding
- 68% support ending fraud and abuse in Medicaid
- 63% support ending tax on tips
- And 61% support extending the Trump tax cuts
