Following Congresswoman Young Kim’s demand for an investigation into fraudulent community college applications designed to siphon federal and state taxpayer dollars through student financial aid, the U.S. Department of Education has announced a sweeping nationwide initiative to eliminate identity theft and fraud in the federal student aid system starting in the fall 2025 semester.
