A new report is highlighting the National Republican Congressional Committee’s paid advertising campaign targeting Democrat Gabe Vasquez for his radical ‘Project 2026’ plan to fundamentally remake America.

A new attack ad launched by the National Republican Congressional Committee asserts Democratic U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez of New Mexico is part of an effort “to turn America into a socialist, crime-filled dystopia.”

The ad, which appears only on digital platforms, includes a short clip of Vasquez advocating for defunding the police, though he is not identified by name. The video snippet, which dates back to before Vasquez was elected to Congress, has been used as ammunition against him in the past.

In the latest reiteration, Vasquez is lumped in with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Democratic U.S. Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Dina Titus, as well as Zohran Mamdani, a self-described socialist who won the Democratic primary for New York City mayor two months ago.

Fox News reported the ad targets “25 vulnerable House Democrats … and outlines what the Republicans say Democrats will offer voters in the midterms.”

“Project 2026,” the ad begins. “Hakeem Jeffries’ plan to remake America. Raise taxes on working families, impeach President Trump.”

The ad then plays various clips of Jeffries, Ocasio-Cortez, Titus, Vasquez and Mamdani, who says, “We are unapologetic about our socialism.”
