Suozzi and Gillen Helped Kill the Government’s Lights, Leave LI in the Dark

Government funding runs out today, and it’s all Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen’s fault. Out of touch obstructionists Suozzi and Gillen put politics over people and voted against legislation to keep the government open. 

Suozzi and Gillen’s reckless stunt forces New Yorkers to face unnecessary uncertainty. A shutdown jeopardizes paychecks for service members, law enforcement, TSA agents, and more. It delays assistance for small businesses, cuts off funding for Head Start, and puts veterans’ services at risk. All because Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen would rather play games than do their job.
