Democrats Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen turned their back on America’s heroes. 

By voting to shut down the government, out of touch Democrats Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen risked New York’s 663,437 veterans’ access to critical programs they earned, from employment assistance to health care and support services. Veterans who fought for this country are being forced to fight Washington bureaucracy because Suozzi and Gillen chose politics over people.
