Democrat leaders get mauled by their own radical base

It’s been a brutal day for Hakeem Jeffries and DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene as their party’s far-left base turns on them.

First, unhinged radical David Hogg (yes, he’s still around) made his first-ever endorsement against a sitting Democrat, backing a challenger to Michigan Rep. Shri Thanedar.

Then, vulnerable Democrat Jared Golden received a primary challenger from Maine State Auditor Matt Dunlap, where it was noted: “DCCC Chair Suzan Delbene tried to talk him out of running when he first expressed public interest in a bid. And he declined to say whether, if elected, he would support Hakeem Jeffries as the House Democratic leader.”
