Tran & Min’s Shutdown Costs Californians Millions

October 8, 2025

It has officially been one week of the government shutdown and Californians are feeling the pressure.

Each week, Californians are losing $2.1 billion in Gross State Product, about $462 million worth of small business loans are getting held up, and over 5,100 workers are furloughed or working without pay. This must end but Derek Tran and Dave Min do not care. They voted for this shut down rather than continuing to fund the government and now they’re placing blame everywhere but on themselves.

Derek Tran and Dave Min are shameful. They voted to shut down the government and, in turn, are hurting Californians. It is high time they stop playing political games with peoples’ livelihoods and work to put Californians first.” – NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez
