Democrats vs Democrats: The self-inflicted, expensive disaster

House Democrats are melting down over a surge of far-left Zohran Mamdani minions, fuming that these primaries are an “expensive headache” draining money and attention from swing seats.

DCCC Chair Suzan DelBene said the quiet part out loud: “Rep. Suzan DelBene, who leads House Democrats’ campaign arm, acknowledged that protecting those incumbents ‘takes some resources.’”

Rep. Juan Vargas: “We will have spent this energy and money fighting amongst ourselves. And it’s really dumb.”

Rep. Vicente Gonzalez: “It’s really bad for the Democratic Party that we’re having to deal with [this] and spend resources, instead of having all these resources for our November challenge.”
