When you come from a family of 10 and no one’s ever gone to college, you’ll leave home at 16, enlist in the military, served 24 years in the military, you’re able to go from community college and working at 16  to a degree in nursing to medical school and now to Congress. You want to make sure that that opportunity, that American dream exists for every kid.
