Valadao Expands Health Care Access for Valley Families

April 22, 2026

Congressman David Valadao delivered for families in rural communities who face long drives, doctor shortages, and delayed appointments as the House unanimously passed his bill to expand telehealth access and connect patients with doctors, specialists, and mental health providers without forcing families to travel hours for care.

Valadao’s bill, the Telehealth Network and Telehealth Resource Centers Grant Program Reauthorization Act, would invest more than $42 million annually through Fiscal Year 2030 to expand telehealth technology in medically underserved communities.

“Congressman David Valadao has once again delivered for the Central Valley by expanding access to health care for families in rural communities too often forced to endure long drives, provider shortages, and delayed appointments. While Democrats waste time on partisan games, Valadao is delivering real solutions that strengthen rural communities and help Central Valley families get the care they need.” – NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez
