Last night, a deranged gunman attempted to assassinate President Trump at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. Thanks to the quick response of Secret Service, the gunman was caught before he was able to do serious harm.

• In the Iowa State legislature, she voted against preventing state funds from going to local governments that choose to defund their police departments.
