While Paul LePage Fought Fraud in Office, Dunlap & Baldacci Let it Fester

During Vice President JD Vance’s visit to Bangor, he touted Paul LePage’s efforts to combat fraud as governor, noting that:

• Under his governorship, fraud investigations doubled.
• He required photos on EBT cards, helping to ensure that those who were getting benefits deserved them.
• And he cracked down on international fraud rings that were taking advantage of Maine.

Meanwhile, out of touch Democrats Matt Dunlap and Joe Baldacci have let fraud fester in Augusta. As State Auditor, Dunlap failed to include the scandal-plagued Gateway in previous audits, and Baldacci voted to expand the embattled MaineCare program.
