Christina Bohannan’s Elite Hypocrisy
Despite claiming that “billionaires and corporate special interests buy votes in Congress,” liberal Christina Bohannan is relying on the same wealthy liberal donor network that bankrolls Democrats across the country.
FEC records show Bohannan has already taken more than $112,000 from billionaire megadonors, including Illinois Governor JB Pritzker, Jeffrey Epstein’s best friend Reid Hoffman, and California billionaires pushing to defund the police.
But Bohannan’s dependence on the wealthy elite shouldn’t be a surprise; she is one of them:
- Bohannan has a net worth of $3.18 million according to Quiver Quantitative. The median income in Iowa’s 1st Congressional District is $72,200.
- In 2025, Bohannan purchased a swanky $1.55 million mansion from former Iowa basketball coach Fran McCaffery.
- Bohannan owns a luxurious waterfront Florida condo, which yields nearly $50,000 a year in rental income. Her condo is in a gated community where homes range from as little as $300,000 to over $1 million, plus it requires thousands in annual homeowner’s fees.
The contrast doesn’t stop there. Bohannan and her husband hold significant investments in Big Tech companies and chose to send their child to an expensive private school, despite opposing educational opportunities that would give working Iowa families similar choices.
The truth is simple: Christina Bohannan doesn’t want to stop billionaires from buying influence, she just wants to be one of the elitists cashing their checks.
“Liberal Christina Bohannan is a millionaire elitist lying to Iowans. She rails against billionaires in public while cashing their checks behind closed doors. From George Soros to JB Pritzker, Bohannan’s campaign is funded by the same wealthy liberal elites she claims to oppose, and Iowans know exactly who she’ll fight for in Congress.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Emily Tuttle
