Fraud Marie’s Health Care Hustle

Fraud Marie Gluesenkamp Perez turns promises of affordable health care into campaign cash while leaving questions about her own staff’s coverage unanswered.

A former mechanic at her auto shop told the Washington Free Beacon that employees weren’t provided health coverage while he worked there.

It’s a pattern:

• She told voters the shop pays employees a living wage.
• The shop is in Portland, Oregon, not Southwest Washington, where employers can pay much lower salaries.
• Federal regulators cited the shop for five workplace violations in 2017, including failing to train workers on hazardous chemicals.
