Rangel’s Got More Financial Mistakes

Rep. Charles Rangel found himself in even hotter water Sunday when he admitted to more errors in his personal finances.

The 19-term Harlem Democrat claimed he just discovered inaccuracies on both his federal tax returns and congressional financial disclosure forms potentially going back decades, he told the Daily News.

Rangel vowed to hire a forensic accounting expert to “conduct a thorough, independent review of all these statements going back 20 years as well as all of my U.S., state and local tax returns for the same time period,” Rangel said in a statement obtained exclusively by The News.
