New York Democrat Candidate Refuses to Answer Questions About Bogus Jobs Claims
Washington – The National Republican Congressional Committee today released a new web ad showcasing Democrat candidate Bill Owens’ silence in the face of questions about his false job creation claims. Many local publications in New York have questioned Owens for touting unsubstantiated claims of creating thousands of jobs. Despite his assertions, Owens refuses to offer the names of any companies that he supposedly lured to Northern New York. With Bill Owens continuing his silence on what once was a central theme of his campaign, how can voters in the 23rd District expect him to be honest with them about anything?
“Having seen that his campaign of misinformation and misrepresentation has failed, it’s clear that Bill Owens is now ducking and dodging any questions about his record,” said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “With so little information available about this hand-picked candidate of Washington Democrats other than his false claims, voters in Central and Northern New York have a right to know who Bill Owens really is. If his recent behavior is any indication, voters shouldn’t hold their breath waiting for any honest answers. Thus far, Bill Owens’ silence is deafening.”
