Nancy Pelosi Sings Russ Carnahan’s Praises for Being Low Maintenance

Carnahan Stays on Pelosi’s Good Side by Being a Loyal Follower

Washington– During a recent fundraiser Nancy Pelosi hailed Missouri Democrat Russ Carnahan for not being “a high maintenance type” – otherwise thanking him for being her loyal follower. Russ Carnahan has offered his support for almost every piece of disastrous legislation Pelosi has touted during her tenure as House Speaker regardless of its implications for Missouri.

Carnahan has backed Pelosi’s failed stimulus, which has resulted in Missouri’s highest unemployment rate since 1983:

“A new report says Missouri had a net loss of 6,700 jobs in August while the state’s unemployment rate rose to 9.5 percent, the highest since September 1983.

Tuesday’s report by the Missouri Department of Economic Development showed the state jobless rate up two-tenths of a percentage point from July. He has also backed Pelosi’s National Energy tax which could result in 58,900 Missouri jobs lost.

“By 2030, as emission reduction targets tighten and other W/M provisions phase out, Missouri jobs decline by 43,300 under the low cost case and by 58,900 under the high cost case.”(Missouri Economic Impact on the State from the Waxman-Markey Bill, H.R. 2454,” National Association of Manufacturers, 8/11/2009)

“Nancy Pelosi saying that Russ Carnahan is low maintenance shouldn’t come as much of a surprise considering that he votes with Pelosi over 99 percent of the time,” said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “After pushing a failed stimulus package, the National Energy Tax, and a government healthcare takeover, maybe what Pelosi needs is a few more high maintenance Congressmen willing to stand up to her reckless agenda.”

Missouri families deserve a representative who has a backbone and not just another Pelosi puppet.
