Sessions Statement on Tom Graves’ Victory in the Special Election Runoff for Georgia’s Ninth District

Washington- National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX) issued the following statement after Tom Graves was declared the winner in tonight’s special election runoff to fill the seat vacated by Rep. Nathan Deal in Georgia’s Ninth Congressional District:

“I congratulate Tom Graves for his victory and a successful campaign based on our shared values of cutting spending, shrinking government and creating real, permanent American jobs. Tom Graves has been a proven conservative leader in the Georgia State House and I have no doubt that the people of north Georgia will be well-represented in Congress as he joins our fight against a Democrat majority in Washington that continues to spend too much, tax too much and borrow too much. The success of Tom Graves’ campaign has put congressional Democrats on notice that Americans are ready to turn the page on the failed experiment known as the Obama-Pelosi agenda this November.”
