Tom Ganley Advances to Top Level of Young Guns Program
Ohio Republican Reaches ‘Young Gun’ Status with Clear Path to Victory

Washington- The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) announced today that Republican Tom Ganley (OH-13) has reached ‘Young Gun’ status, the top level of its three-tiered Young Guns program. By advancing to the program’s top tier, Ganley has proven his ability to build a winning campaign and achieve substantial fundraising goals.

Originally founded in the 2007-2008 election cycle by Reps. Eric Cantor (R-VA), Kevin McCarthy (R-CA), and Paul Ryan (R-WI) as a member-driven organization, the Young Guns program has become an official NRCC effort dedicated to electing open-seat and challenger candidates nationwide. Reps. Cantor, McCarthy and Ryan remain very involved in Young Guns, working together to recruit and prime conservative leaders for victory.

As a lifelong resident of Ohio and a proven entrepreneur, Ganley knows what it takes to create jobs and build a successful business from the ground up. Ganley, who is now the President of the Ganley Automotive Group, began his career with one dealership in Euclid and now runs the largest automotive group in Ohio. His local business includes 32 dealerships and more than 1,000 employees. Ganley has served as a leader of his state and region and has been actively involved in various charitable organizations.

“Tom Ganley has proven that he is ready to take on the incumbent Democrat, Betty Sutton,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions (R-TX). “Tom’s campaign is a symbol of the growing momentum behind Republican candidacies both in Ohio and across the country. As Democrats and their party bosses continue to push their big-government, big-spending policies onto the backs of hard-working families, Republicans like Tom Ganley will continue to present a clear alternative to a Democrat majority that continues to spend too much, borrow too much and tax too much.”

Tom Ganley has completed the benchmarks to place him on the road to victory as a Young Gun.
