Rangel Investigation Broadened

The corruption cloud over Charlie Rangel grew on Thursday.
The House Ethics Committee expanded its 13-month “inquiry” into the tangled finances of the 20-term Harlem Democrat a day after a GOP bid to oust Rangel as Ways and Means chairman was voted down.
In the wider inquiry, the committee will focus on more than $600,000 in income and assets that Rangel failed to disclose for years until July.
