Kinzinger brings in help from the south

Adam Kinzinger brought in some help Wednesday to outline for local farmers and business representatives why his policies and beliefs would be a better fit in Congress than those of U.S. Rep. Debbie Halvorson, D-Crete, who he is trying to unseat.

U.S. Rep. Bill Cassidy, of Louisiana, and Kinzinger sat down with 20 representatives of agriculture, business and local government at Lydia & Groucho’s Coffee Shop & Deli in downtown Kankakee.

And Cassidy, a doctor, was clear about his opposition to Halvorson’s position on legislation such as health care and the environmental bill referred to as cap and trade.
