American Economy Won’t Grow or Improve Under Washington Democrats’ Failed Big-Spending Policies
Economic Growth is Stagnant Due to Nearly Nonexistent Job Growth and High Gas Prices

DC DEMOCRATS STILL DON’T GET IT: Ignoring a new startlingly weak economic growth rate in the second quarter, Democrats claim all is “going well”:

“WALLACE: ‘Let me finish. In a stronger position in the economy today than you were three or four months ago when you were growing hundreds of thousands of jobs?’

“GEITHNER: ‘Absolutely, because with time, more American are getting back to work. The economy is growing. American businesses are investing again. Exports are getting stronger. That’s all going well.'” (Remarks from Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner,Fox News’ “Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace,” 7/24/2011)

MADE IN WASHINGTON, DC: New growth numbers show families and small businesses still face uncertainty, but instead of acknowledging the desperate need to promote job creation and encourage consumer confidence, Washington Democrats continue to allow their big-government policies to increase the unemployment rate and stunt economic growth:

“Economic growth in the second quarter was tepid, the government reported Friday. And growth in the first quarter was much slower than initially thought.

“Gross domestic product, the broadest measure of the nation’s economic health, rose at an annual rate of 1.3% in the second quarter, the Commerce Department said.

“While that’s an increase from the revised 0.4% growth rate in the first three months of the year, it is hardly good news. The government originally reported that the economy grew at a 1.9% annualized rate in the first quarter.” (Annalyn Censky, “Economy Grows at sluggish 1/3% pace,” CNN Money, 7/29/2011)
