Say Goodbye to Choices, Coverage Under Obama Healthcare Overhaul
New Survey Reveals that Consequences of Obamacare Will Leave American Workers Without Coverage

DC DEMOCRATS STILL DON’T GET IT: Obama and House Democrats have repeatedly attempted to mask their push for government control of healthcare by claiming that American families will be able to make their own decisions when choosing coverage plans:

“‘Now, I don’t believe we should give the government or insurance companies more control over health care in America. I believe it’s time to give you, the American people, more control over your own health insurance.

“‘Our proposal builds on the current system where most Americans get their health insurance from their employer. So if you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. I don’t want to interfere with people’s relationships between them and their doctors.'” (Barack Obama, “Remarks by the President on Health Care Reform in Strongsville, OH,” The White House, 3/15/2010)

MADE IN WASHINGTON, DC: Amidst sluggish economic growth, analysts say the high costs imposed under ObamaCare have convinced some employers that paying a fine to drop coverage for workers is more cost effective than continuing to cover them. And it looks like more employers will follow suit:

“Nearly one in 10 midsize or large employers expects to stop offering health coverage to workers once federal insurance exchanges start in 2014, according to a survey from a large benefits consultant.

“Another big benefits consultant, Mercer, found in a June survey of large and smaller employers that 8% are either ‘likely’ or ‘very likely’ to end health benefits once the exchanges start.

“Employer-sponsored health insurance has long been the backbone of the nation’s health insurance system. But the studies suggest some employers, especially retailers or those paying low wages, feel they will be better off paying fines and taxes than continuing to provide benefits that eat up a growing portion of their budget every year.” (Tom Murphy, Survey: Almost 10% of employers may end health insurance,” AP, 8/25/2011)
