Democrat Policies Making Everyday Items More Expensive for American Families
U.S. Producers Have Bleak Outlook on Recovery as New Report Shows More Uncertainty on Economy

DC DEMOCRATS STILL DON’T GET IT: Washington Democrats refuse to take responsibility for their failed job-crushing policies and continue to pat each other on the back for ruining any immediate chance the American economy has at recovery:

“MSNBC’S ANDREA MITCHELL: …[W]hat he’s running against is an unemployment rate hovering around nine percent, and widespread concerns about a second recession. So the President’s record is the one that is going to have to be defended.

“DNC CHAIR REP. DEBBIE WASSERMAN SCHULTZ: Well, I’m proud of the President’s record as are Democrats and middle-class Americans across the country.” (Remarks from Debbie Wasserman-Schultz, MSNBC’s “Andrea Mitchell Reports, 8/13/2011)

MADE IN WASHINGTON, DC: While Obama and his gang of Washington Democrats laud their failed efforts, prices for everyday necessities continue to rise for struggling American families. And the scariest part of it is, prices may very well only get higher in the near future:

“The index of producer prices, which measures how much manufacturers and wholesalers pay for goods and materials, rose a seasonally adjusted 0.2% in July, the Labor Department said Wednesday. That followed a 0.4% dip in June.

“Wednesday’s report showed that last month’s rise in producer prices was driven by higher costs for food, tobacco products, trucks and pharmaceuticals.

“Year over year, the core index in July was up 2.5%, the highest since June 2009.” (Luca di Leo & Jeffrey Sparshott, “Wholesale Prices Increase,” The Wall Street Journal, 8/17/2011)
