Will Hochul Try to Keep ObamaCare Regardless of Supreme Court Decision?
New York Democrat Faces Important Decision as Leaders Prepare Defense of Their Government Healthcare Takeover

WASHINGTON — Democrats in Washington are making their intentions clear to continue to defend their big-government takeover of healthcare and its crushing economic implications. However, New York families want to know what Kathy Hochul intends to do after the Supreme Court announces their monumental decision.

“Economic stability continues to be the first priority for New York families, and Kathy Hochul’s healthcare overhaul continues to be a major driver of our national debt and increased taxes,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “It’s troubling that Hochul still hasn’t decided to buck her party’s addiction of government-controlled healthcare in support of growing the economy and job growth.”

Small businesses are looking for the Supreme Court to overturn the Democrats’ government healthcare takeover so that they can get back to growing the economy and hiring new workers:

“‘The initial reaction (if overturned) will be that this is positive because it had a dampening effect on small business hiring and small business confidence,’ said Barry Knapp, head of equity portfolio strategy at Barclays Capital.” (Patti Domm, “Health-Care Ruling May Be Catalyst for Stocks,” CNBC, 6/22/2012)

However, the Obama Administration said recently that no matter what the decision is, the Democrat party will continue to support ObamaCare:

“Covering all the bases ahead of a momentous Supreme Court ruling, the Obama administration plans to move ahead with major parts of the president’s health care law if its most controversial provision does not survive, according to veteran Democrats closely involved with the legislation.”
“Surviving parts of the law would ‘absolutely’ move ahead, said the congressional official.”

President Obama has sacrificed much for his massive government takeover of healthcare as the American people refuse to let him put government between them and their care:

“As the brutal fight continued, the president sacrificed more and more in its name: an overhaul of energy and environmental laws, greater focus on economic issues, some of his own popularity and that of House Democrats, who eventually lost their hard-won majority.” (Jodi Kantor, “Wearing Brave Face, Obama Braces for Health Care Ruling,” New York Times, 6/23/2012)
