Betty Sutton Needs to Stop Standing in the Way of Economic Recovery
To Grow the Economy, Sutton Thinks Her Failed Big-Government Policies are Best

WASHINGTON — Betty Sutton has become known for implementing new regulatory policies and government overhauls that have done nothing but burden job creators and limit economic freedom. This approach has been condemned by prominent economists, job creators and Ohio families who know that the only way to get the economy back on track is to stop Sutton from straddling small businesses with red tape and tax hikes.

“Betty Sutton’s continued push for more taxing, spending and borrowing is threatening to put America’s economy even further behind the eight ball,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Her constituents are tired of her job-destroying policies, but when will she decide to promote job growth instead of doubling down with more crushing tax hikes on Ohio’s small businesses?”

Washington Democrats have continuously tried to take choices away from job creators by putting them in the hands of government, and Americans have had enough:

“Two-thirds of likely voters say the weak economy is Washington’s fault, and more blame President Obama than anybody else…” (Sheldon Alberts, “The Hill Poll: Voters blame president most for slow economic recovery, The Hill, 7/23/2012)

According to a new poll, an overwhelming majority of Americans think the Democrat party shouldn’t inflict its big-government agenda on families and small businesses:

“…61% say the government is trying to do too many things that should be left to individuals and businesses.” (Susan Page, “Poll: Romney preferred over Obama to handle the economy, USA Today, July 23, 2012)

This is the same failed agenda that Nancy Pelosi promised House Democrats will protect as long as Obama is in office:

“‘I would just assume that Democrats would win and we would stop the obstruction of the president’s agenda,’ [said Pelosi].” (“Pelosi: Dems Should Skip Convention to Campaign,” Newsmax, 7/18/2012)
