September 13th Weekend Campaign Update
Dear Supporter,
With less than 50 days until the election, the environment continues to worsen for Democrats.
This weekend the NRCC launched nine more TV ads holding Reps. Bright (AL-02), Kirkpatrick (AZ-01), McNerney (CA-11), Boyd (FL-02), Childrers (MS-01), Edwards (TX-17) and Perriello (VA-05); as well as Democrat candidates Herron (TN-08) and Lassa (WI-07).
You can view the ads here and help keep ads like this on TV by supporting the NRCC.
Most telling about these ads, unlike the DCCC’s ads, we are on the offense while every Democrat ad aired to-date has been defensive.
In addition to our newest TV ads, here are a few news items of interest you may have missed.
The New York Times gives House Republicans a 66% chance to win the majority in November.
And their [Republican] gains could potentially rival or exceed those made in 1994,
when they took a net of 54 seats from the Democrats. (read more here)
This estimate, coupled with political handicappers Charlie Cook, Stu Rothenberg and Larry Sabato, explains this morning’s headline “Dems Plan for a Future Without Pelosi.” Sounds good doesn’t it?Read the article here and support the NRCC to make it a reality.
Finally, tomorrow is the last big primary day with elections in Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Rhode Island, and Wisconsin.
After tomorrow, the field will be set, we have the candidates, message and momentum, but without you victory cannot be achieved in November. Remember we are close but not there yet, we need your help to make sure we are not caught off guard this election.
Sincerely,
Pete Sessions
NRCC, Chairman
P.S. — In a study released today by Gallup Polling, an overwhelming majority (61%) of Americans disapprove of the 2009 economic package, the auto industry bailout, and healthcare reform. We cannot afford another two years with a Democrat controlled Congress. Step up and join the fight!
