Betty Sutton: Welcome Wagon Not Needed

August recess is here and that means Betty Sutton is back in Ohio. But don’t cue the marching bands and parades just yet! This August recess Betty faces a different tune from Ohioans as they are waiting for answers on why she has been voting against them at every turn. So while the partisan politician makes her way around Ohio, voters wants to know why just last week Sutton voted to impose tax hikes on Ohio job creators and families in 2013.

If Betty Sutton’s tax hikes go into effect the average tax increase for Ohioans will be $2,679 per tax return and a total of $16.18 billion for the entire state beginning in 2013. (“The Effects of Taxmadeggon,” The Heritage Foundation, 6/2012)

Last week after her vote to impose tax hikes on Ohio families, the NRCC released this web ad that focuses on Betty Sutton’s out-of-control spending addiction which is making a bad economy worse.

NRCC Statement: “Betty Sutton has a lot of explaining to do with her vote to impose massive tax hikes on her state. Ohio families have the chance this November to hold Betty Sutton accountable for her disastrous tax and spend ways.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Katie Prill
