Tarryl Clark’s ides of getting the job done is more taxes and spending

August 12, 2012

Tarryl Clark has released her first TV ad of the race telling voters that when “you say you’re gonna do something, you do it.” Minnesota families are all too familiar with Tarryl Clark’s idea of getting things done.

In 2010, while in the Minnesota State Senate, Clark showed Minnesota families that her idea of getting things done meant a $435 million tax increase. Tarryl Clark was the deciding vote to increase taxes on small businesses and taxpayers. (MinnPost, 5/28/10)

Clark has also defended Barack Obama’s failed stimulus which was promised that if the “stimulus” was signed into law, our national unemployment would not exceed 8 percent. Our country’s unemployment rate has been over 8 percent for a record 40 consecutive months. (St. Cloud Times, 11/03/10)

NRCC Statement: “Minnesota families cannot afford Tarryl Clark’s idea of getting things done. She was the deciding vote that pushed forward a $435 million tax increase all while supporting the president’s failed stimulus program. Frankly, we have seen what Tarryl Clark’s going to do and that means taxing the people of Minnesota so she can continue to spend recklessly and push failed policies that will destroy American jobs.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Katie Prill
