New York Democrat Will Continue Obama’s Government Healthcare Takeover That Has Made Our Economy Worse

Washington — In a continued effort to hold Kathy Hochul accountable for her persistent support of President Obama’s healthcare overhaul, the National Republican Congressional Committee today launched a series of targeted phone calls to her constituents highlighting Hochul’s support for ObamaCare’s cuts to Medicare and tax increases on middle-class families. This is the second wave in a comprehensive campaign that includes mobile billboards, targeted calls and online-ads highlighting Hochul’s vote to keep ObamaCare the law of the land.

“Kathy Hochul voted to keep increasing healthcare costs and taxes on New York families in place, proving she is a rubber-stamp for President Obama’s policies that have taken us in the wrong direction,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Her record demonstrates how Hochul is putting her party’s tax increases and Medicare cuts first, and seniors last. When will Hochul put New York families ahead of her Democrat allies and help, rather than hurt, her constituents?”

The script is as follows:

“Hello, I’m calling from the National Republican Congressional Committee, 202.479.7000, 320 First Street SE, Washington, DC 20003 with an important alert about your Congresswoman Kathy Hochul. Last week, Hochul voted to keep President Obama’s government takeover of healthcare in place which cuts Medicare, increases costs and takes personal healthcare choices away from seniors and their doctors. Her plan would force massive tax increases on struggling Western New York families and seniors. Hochul wants to us to turn the page but she has already turned her back on Western New York. Call Kathy Hochul at 202-225-5265 and tell her you want to repeal ObamaCare. Paid for by the National Republican Congressional Committee. Not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.”
