Job Growth Projections in October at Lowest Percent Since January 2010
Outlook for Pace of Growth in Job Market has “Failed to Gain Momentum”

DC DEMOCRATS STILL DON’T GET IT: President Obama recently commented that his administration has made all the “right” choices when dealing with the still-weak economy:

“I guarantee it’s going to be a close election because the economy is not where it wants to be and even though I believe all the choices we’ve made have been the right ones, we’re still going through difficult circumstances.” (“Transcript: ABC News’ Jake Tapper’s Exclusive Interview with President Obama,” ABC News, 10/18/2011)

MADE IN WASHINGTON, DC: A recent survey from the National Association for Business Economics shows that the Obama administration’s big-government agenda has not inspired the confidence of small businesses as projected growth is weaker than ever:

“While companies said they expect the U.S. will keep expanding, they trimmed projections for the pace of growth and pared capital spending plans, helping explain why the recovery has failed to gain momentum.”

“Within the employment outlook, 29 percent of companies said they would increase hiring, down from 43 percent in July, while 59 percent reported they plan no change in staff, a 10-point jump. Twelve percent projected a decline in payrolls, up from 8 percent in the previous NABE survey.” (Shobhana Chandra, “Employment Outlook in U.S. Worst Since 2010: Survey,” Bloomberg, 10/24/2011)
