Despite Dems’ Government Healthcare Takeover, Ranks of the Uninsured Grow
According to a New Survey, More American Adults Didn’t Have Coverage in 2011 than in 2008

DC DEMOCRATS STILL DON’T GET IT: When campaigning for his and Pelosi’s big government takeover of healthcare, Obama described how Americans will be able to make their own decision about their insurance coverage:

“’So if you like your plan, you can keep your plan. If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor. I don’t want to interfere with people’s relationships between them and their doctors.'” (Barack Obama, “Remarks by the President on Health Care Reform in Strongsville, OH,” The White House, 3/15/2010)

MADE IN WASHINGTON, DC: Unfortunately, Americans were left with far less choices than promised as more American adults found themselves without coverage in 2011 than in 2008:

“More American adults lacked health insurance coverage last year than in any year since Gallup and Healthways started tracking it in 2008. The uninsured rate has been increasing since 2008, climbing to 17.1% in 2011.”

“The U.S. health insurance system is undergoing great upheaval, which combined with the troubled economy of the past several years is clearly affecting health insurance coverage in the country.” (Elizabeth Mendes, “More Americans Uninsured in 2011,” Gallup, 1/24/2012)
