Thanks to Failed Dem Policies, Americans’ Confidence Levels See Biggest Drop in Eight Months
Experts Expected Big Boost in May But Instead Confidence in the Economy Plummeted

DC DEMOCRATS STILL DON’T GET IT: DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz claims that her party is ready to take responsibility for the dismal state of the economy:

“’We own the economy. We own the beginning of the turnaround and we want to make sure that we continue that pace of recovery…,’ Wasserman Schultz told Mike Allen at POLITICO’s ‘Playbook Breakfast.’” (Molly Ball, “Debbie Wasserman Schultz: ‘We own the economy’, Politico, 5/15/2011)

MADE IN WASHINGTON, DC: With persistent uncertainty, stagnant growth and market volatility, the economy has struggled to gain any momentum under Democrat leadership:

“The Conference Board says its Consumer Confidence Index now stands at 64.9, down from a revised 68.7 in April. It was the biggest drop since October 2011.

“Economists were expecting a reading of 70, according to a FactSet poll of analysts.” (“Consumer confidence plunges in May,” Associated Press, 5/29/2012)
