NRCC Announces Employer Nation

Recognizing the Employers Who Create New Jobs and Drive the American Economy

Washington– The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) today announced the creation of Employer Nation, a grassroots and fundraising operation set up to promote Republican reforms aimed at helping those who start, run, and grow small businesses and create new jobs. With Speaker Nancy Pelosi and the Democrat-led Congress looking for new ways to tax and punish small business owners, Republicans are fighting to help the private employers that provide four out of every five jobs in the United States. Employer Nation will be launched today in what the NRCC is recognizing as “Employer Nation Day.”

“Employer Nation Day recognizes the men and women, entrepreneurs and workers, who drive our economy,” said House Republican Leader John Boehner (R-OH), a former small business owner. “From our economic recovery plan to our free market healthcare reforms to our budget alternative that curbs spending and cuts taxes, Republicans have real solutions for helping small businesses weather the economic storm and create new jobs. And Employer Nation will help us elect a Congress that will make these pro-employer reforms a reality.”

“The NRCC is excited to announce today as Employer Nation Day,” said NRCC Chairman Pete Sessions. “This project will further enhance our relationship with entrepreneurs as we work to rebuild the economy and restore job growth. Our purpose is to elect representatives to Congress who will advance a pro-employer agenda and fight for the policies that encourage and reward small business owners and new investment.”

Already boasting membership from 2,500 employers and more than 50,000 employees, Employer Nation continues to grow and retain members as it fulfills its commitment to policies that will benefit businesses and the dutiful Americans that they employ.  More information about Employer Nation can be found at www.employernation.org.
