NRCC Launches New TV Ad: Ben Chandler is Proud to be Obama’s Congressman, Supporting Him ‘Right Along’

Threatening Access to Healthcare and a Weak Job Market Aren’t Enough for Chandler to Stop Supporting Obama’s Failed Policies

WASHINGTON – By boasting his support of President Obama’s irresponsible and reckless political agenda in Washington, Ben Chandler has been targeted by the National Republican Congressional Committee in a new television ad. Chandler’s steadfast loyalty to Obama’s failed policies has only made a bad economy worse for Kentucky working families and small business owners.

“Ben Chandler was proud to be one of Barack Obama’s earliest supporters, and he’s ‘supported him right along’ ever since,” said NRCC Communications Director Paul Lindsay. “Chandler’s words of praise for Obama are one thing, but what’s worse are his votes in Washington that are hurting Kentucky jobs.”

The script for this ad is as follows:

ANNOUNCER: Ben Chandler was one of Barack Obama’s earliest supporters.

CHANDLER: Barack Obama, I know, will provide the steady hand and leadership we need.

ANNOUNCER: Today, Chandler still votes for Obama’s agenda, even after his policies failed.

CHANDLER: I have supported the President right along.

ANNOUNCER: Chandler even supported Obama’s far left cap & trade energy policy that threatens Kentucky jobs in mining and manufacturing.

To stop Obama’s agenda, we have to replace Obama’s Congressman.
