lies and abandonment

Caught in a lie, and abandoned by Democrat leaders – that’s what we’re learning about John Tierney this morning.

As the Boston Globe reports, late yesterday national Democrats’ Super PAC, House Majority PAC, abandoned Tierney by canceling more than $630,000 in TV they had reserved in Boston.

It’s probably because a new poll  released yesterday shows Tierney losing by double digits.

Or it could be thanks to a blistering front page story out today that shows John Tierney has been exposed for lying about releasing his tax returns.

Either way,  John Tierney’s campaign is sinking and even his Democrat allies are abandoning ship.

BOSTON GLOBE: “Tierney, meanwhile, has resisted disclosing any of his returns despite a public pledge to do so, numerous requests by the Globe, and new questions … In addition, as of Tuesday afternoon, the Tierney campaign had provided no evidence that the congressman has ever publicly released his taxes, despite a statement from a spokeswoman to the contrary and Tierney’s own claim during a July 3 news conference.”
