“If Leonard Peltier is guilty, then we are all guilty!”

… That’s what Democrat Raul Ruiz thinks about a convicted killer who murdered two FBI agents execution style.

Last night’s evening news in Palm Springs and this morning’s front page are filled with horrid details about Ruiz’s defense of two convicted cop killers.

What’s more – Ruiz flat-out denied he defended these killers during a televised debate one week ago. Now, with audio released of Ruiz defending those same killers – he’s backtracking.

The audio proves Ruiz said this, among many other extreme and chilling statements: “If Leonard Peltier is guilty, then we are all guilty!”

As the Desert Sun reports, “Peltier was sentenced to two life terms for allegedly shooting and killing FBI agents Jack R. Coler and Ronald A. Williams execution-style during a June 26, 1975 armed confrontation.”

But Ruiz and his handlers must not have had time to come up with an explanation. Here’s was what Ruiz had to say to a local reporter last night:

“We need to really realize that I was a medical student back then so my mind was concentrated on my studies.”

Really? Because, if you listen to the speech, Ruiz sounds pretty focused on defending these killers.
