According to the Florida Secretary of State, Allen West’s FL-18 Campaign is Not Over
The Florida Secretary of State, Ken Detzner, announced yesterday morning that he is sending three election officials to St. Lucie County to investigate the accuracy of the election results.
Lt. Col. West currently trails Democrat Patrick Murphy by 1,907 votes and is .08% away from having a recount automatically triggered – that’s 249 votes he needs to get.
Clearly, if the Secretary of State finds reason to send three investigators to Allen West’s district –there’s legitimate cause for concern that Democrats may be up to no good.
The West Campaign recently emailed:
“Nothing coming out of [St. Lucie County] Supervisor of Elections Gertrude Walker’s office adds up, stories are constantly changing, and the hostile attitude of the Supervisor is disturbing. What originally looked like dangerous incompetence is looking more and more like a willful attempt to steal an election.
And in a just-released letter, the West Campaign wrote:
“The West campaign is simply seeking the truth, and an accurate count of votes. Given the inconsistencies emanating from the Supervisor’s office, we have no confidence in any of the information regarding the votes counted or the election results overall.”
Amazingly, while election officials are just beginning to investigate, Nancy Pelosi and House Democrats are getting way ahead of themselves – introducing West’s opponent Patrick Murphy at a press conference in Washington yesterday:
