Rick “Groundhog Day” Nolan Still Complaining About Congressional Schedule

January 18, 2013

Rick Nolan’s second Congressional stint is starting to look an awful lot like his first one – and his Congressional career is starting to play out like the movie Groundhog Day. The only question is whether this Congressional stint will end like his first one.

Nolan was on MSNBC’s Daily Rundown today talking about how little time Congress spends legislating compared to the idyllic 1970’s, which was the last time that Nolan was in Congress. Of course, Nolan was complaining about the exact same thing then!

Rick Nolan in 1980 on his time as a Member of Congress:

NRCC Statement: “More than thirty years after his first ineffective stint in Congress, Rick ‘Groundhog Day’ Nolan is back to his old habit of complaining about Congressional schedules. While Minnesotans are hoping for a representative that will work on creating jobs, they must be wondering if Nolan’s singular focus on his schedule will lead him to quit on them like he did in 1981.” – NRCC Spokesman Ian Prior
