Sebelius Shocked At Obamacare Opposition

April 8, 2013

At a Harvard forum today, HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius admitted she was surprised at the how strong the opposition to Obamacare was.

According to Sebelius, she didn’t expect virulent criticism of the law to continue—especially three years since it became law.

“‘The politics has been relentless and that continues,’ Sebelius said. ‘There was some hope that once the Supreme Court ruled in July and then once an election occurred there would be a sense that, ‘This is the law of the land, let’s get on board, let’s make this work.’ And yet we will find ourselves having state by state political battles.’”

She shows shock at the sustained opposition to President Obama’s government takeover of healthcare, yet day after day a steady stream of news shows that Obamacare’s implementation has been anything but smooth.

Ironically today, The Wall Street Journal reported that small business are finding Obamacare so onerous, they’re choosing to pay the penalties rather than comply with the law.

And of course, Sebelius admitted recently that Obamacare would raise premiums for families—breaking a promise numerous Democrats made in the past.
