The IRS Under ObamaCare: More Spending, More Bureaucrats

As almost everyone knows by now, the IRS will have a “dominant role” in ObamaCare.

Yes, the same IRS found to have improperly targeted conservative groups.

And yes, the same IRS that spent $50 million on conferences that included presidential suites and Star Trek parodies.

As the “key enforcer” for the disastrous law, the IRS is currently remaking a large part of its bureaucracy to deal with this monstrous government effort.

First, we learned that they appointed Sarah Hall Ingram to run the IRS’s ObamaCare office. Ingram was the head of the IRS office in charge of tax-exempt organizations during the time the agency was found to be targeting conservative groups.

Second, according to the Heritage Foundation, the IRS is ready to hire almost 2,000 more bureaucrats in the next fiscal year to help enforce the law.

And finally, the IRS is asking for $440 million in additional funds to cover the costs of enforcing the boondoggle of a law.

So let me get this straight: a scandal-ridden agency that has already wasted millions in taxpayer funds wants to get bigger and richer?

Give me a break.
