As Dems Tout “Selling Of ObamaCare,” Polls Show It “More Unpopular Than Ever”’
This morning, Democrats continued their bragging about the lengths they’re going to tout ObamaCare. As the disastrous law is implemented, it’s become a major focus of our liberal friends to “sell” the law to a public increasing skeptical of its high premiums and effects on families and small businesses.
A story in Politico this morning shows just what Democrats, mainly in the House, are doing to sell the American people on this bag of goods.
These action items include meeting with the numerous government officials in charge of ObamaCare’s rollout, distributing a plan straight from the desk of Nancy Pelosi of how to sell the law in their districts, and finally, asking President Obama and other cabinet officials for help in taking their show on the road.
But where are they going? No one can seem to tell us what members are actually having these events.
The funny thing is that mere inches away on the Politico homepage is the following headline, “Poll finds low support for Obamacare.”
Uh…
The latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll shows ObamaCare as unpopular as it’s ever been. 49 percent—almost a majority of Americans—think of the law as a “bad idea.” 38 percent believe the government boondoggle will make them “worse off.”
It shouldn’t be that surprising that Democrats are struggling to convince the public it’s a good thing. This law has raised premiums, caused workers to lose their insurance, and put bureaucratic boards between women and their doctors.
So to sum it up: while ObamaCare is as unpopular as it’s ever been, House Democrats are throwing anything to the wall and hoping it sticks.
Keep trying, guys. It’s really working great for you so far.
