Call Collin Peterson And Tell Him To Stop Obama’s Plan To Raise Electricity Rates

WASHINGTON – The National Republican Congressional Committee is launching a paid web ad today targeting Collin Peterson in his Minnesota district, after President Obama unveiled an onslaught of government regulations that will raise electricity costs for consumers across the country and destroy jobs.

Just a few years ago, while campaigning for president, Obama admitted his plans would cause rates to “necessarily skyrocket.” The last four years have been hard enough for Minnesota families, they don’t need another government plan that will raise rates and hurt job creation. It’s time for Collin Peterson to tell President Obama enough is enough.

“Four years ago, President Obama admitted his new regulations would cause electricity rates to ‘necessarily skyrocket.’ Today, with the support of Washington allies like Collin Peterson, he’s determined to force them on the American people,’” said NRCC Communications Director Andrea Bozek. “With this new paid effort, we are letting Minnesota families know that it’s time to tell Peterson to support jobs, not higher taxes.”
