ObamaCare’s Cadillac Plan: It’s Gonna Cost Ya!

July 1, 2013

Ahead of the October 1st  kick off, the Obama Administration is working hard to ensure Americans across the country are aware of all the ‘benefits’ that ObamaCare has to offer them.

Higher premiums, reduced access to health care, and limited exchanges are just a few of the ‘benefits’ that we have awaiting us in 2014 thanks to the massive health care overhaul.

Excited yet? Cadillac

The Wall Street Journal highlighted the increase in monthly insurance costs today – and it’s not pretty.

The exchanges, which are a key part of President Obama’s law, seem to be offering less than stellar options for people of all ages.

Bob Laszewski, a Virginia health-care consultant and former insurance executive, said the new offerings were likely to anger people who had preferred lower-cost products that were no longer available.

“If a person in 2013 has a choice of buying a Chevrolet or a Cadillac health plan, and in 2014, they can only buy a Cadillac…are they going to be upset? I think the answer is, yes,” he said.

In addition to the lack of choice being offered by ObamaCare, the plan options are skyrocketing in price compared to what healthy Americans are paying now. A plan that now costs $63 a month will cost over $190 a month under ObamaCare.

This is unacceptable. A lack of choices, higher costs and poor organization across the states. That’s not a plan that Americans deserve.
