7 ObamaCare Failures This Week – July 15th-22nd
1. ObamaCare: Too Complex For Businesses, “Fabulous” For You
Two weeks after the Obama administration delayed the employer mandate, House Democrats have a chance to support a bill that would afford the same to middle-class families across the country.
Democrats might think this law is “fabulous,” but individuals across the country are already facing higher premiums, losing their insurance, or watching bureaucrats come between them and their doctors.
2. 13 House Dems Who Don’t Think You’re Good Enough To Get The ObamaCare Delay They Gave To Big Business
These 13 Democrats voted to give big business a break from ObamaCare, but they apparently don’t think middle-class families are good enough to get one.
3. Pizzeria Owner Sells Part Of Business Thanks To ObamaCare
Bob Westbrook, owner of Ci Ci’s Pizza in Texas, is reportedly selling parts of his franchise because ObamaCare has made it too expensive.
4. Delayed, But Still “On Schedule”
It was so unbelievable, you could have mistaken it for a joke. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the agency charged with implementing ObamaCare, released a web video last week bragging the law was “on schedule.” Yeah, we thought it was funny too.
5. Leno Blasts ObamaCare
Speaking of jokes, last week Jay Leno went after Obama’s promises that his government takeover of healthcare would lower the deficit.
6. Will Ann Kirkpatrick Be Ordering An “I Love ObamaCare” Sticker?
A day after a chunk of the House Democrat caucus sought to jump off the ObamaCare train, the DCCC launched a petition in strong support of ObamaCare — even giving away free stickers.
As much as their members who face tough races may try to run from ObamaCare, the White House and DCCC seem committed to wrapping them in it.
7. Hot Temperatures And Hot Air
Late last week (as the East Coast was in the midst of a prolonged heat wave) President Obama gave a speech touting ObamaCare’s insurance rebates and lower premiums. Except that President Obama’s spin doesn’t match up with the facts. The rebates are much rarer than President Obama made it seem and premiums are actually rising in states like Ohio by as much as 88 percent.
