Bill Enyart’s Inexcusable Vote Against Military Chaplains

This is just inexcusable.

Today, Bill Enyart was the ONLY MEMBER of the House of Representatives to vote against a bill that makes chaplains available to members of the Armed Forces and their families during the duration of the government shutdown.

Yes, you read that right. Former General and self-proclaimed supporter of the troops Bill Enyart voted AGAINST this crucial service to our nation’s Armed Forces.

Once again, Enyart has proved to his constituents and to our nation’s military and their families that he does not have their best interests and general well-being at heart.

What is his explanation for voting against this pro-military bill? He should be embarrassed.

NRCC Statement: “It is absolutely unconscionable that Bill Enyart would be the only member in the U.S. House to vote against a bill that supports our country’s Armed Forces and chaplains. He should be ashamed of himself, and he owes his constituency, members of the military and their families a serious explanation for this appalling vote.”
