11 Democrats That Nancy Pelosi Is Personally Funding (and We Need to Defeat)
Nancy Pelosi knows that the Democrats need to retake the House from Republicans if they have any hope of enacting the rest of President Obama’s liberal agenda during his last two years in office.
But Pelosi doesn’t want just any Democrats to win in 2014 – she is working hard behind the scenes to make sure that liberal, rubber stamp candidates defeat conservative Republicans next year to make the House as liberal as she is. She’s even gone so far as to personally fund the campaigns of 10 of her liberal, hand-picked recruits.
We can’t let any of these Pelosi clones defeat our conservative candidates next year. Check out the 10 Democrats that Nancy Pelosi is personally financing to put into Congress next year (and who we won’t let win).
1. Gwen Graham, Florida-02
Pelosi’s pick for Florida’s 2nd Congressional District has a record of supporting the extreme left wing of her party – Gwen worked for Democratic candidates Howard Dean and then John Kerry in 2004. If given the chance to serve in Congress, Graham’s first vote will be to elect Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.
2. Staci Appel, Iowa-03
Not only is Staci Appel another dye-in-the-wool liberal with a tax-hiking record who would jump at the chance to support Nancy Pelosi for Speaker, but she can’t even decide if she actually wants to run for Congress. Earlier this year, after indicating she was interested in the seat, Appel backed out, only to re-announce again this summer. Iowans deserve better than a liberal rubber stamp congresswoman who isn’t even entirely sure if she wants to run.
3. Jerry Cannon, Michigan-01
Pelosi found yet another liberal candidate who would serve as a rubber stamp for the Obama-Pelosi agenda in Congress. Cannon’s views match up perfectly with the left-wing of his party – he was recently selected at the last minute to speak to a progressive group after radical pro-abortion right advocate Gretchen Whitmer cancelled. Their views apparently align. Nancy Pelosi knows that with Jerry Cannon in Congress she would be one vote closer to the Speaker’s gavel.
4. Pam Byrnes, Michigan-07
Pam Byrnes is in a lucky spot, considering that she is one of the handful of Democratic recruits who Nancy Pelosi has singled out for financial help. However, that means that Byrnes is all-to-eager to be a supporter of Pelosi’s agenda of higher taxes and more spending that Southern Michigan’s families just can’t afford.
5. Erin Bilbray, Nevada-03
Where to start with Erin Bilbray? Not only would Bilbray be a reliable vote for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker, but her campaign has been significantly detached from reality – and Nevada’s families. Not only has she flip-flopped on guns and indicated she would wait to see what the polls said before announcing her “position,” but she recently tweeted that making over $275,000 a year makes her “middle class.” Nevadans don’t need a poll-driven politician who will do or say anything to get elected. Washington’s got enough of those folks already.
6. Roxanne Lara, New Mexico-02
There’s one reason that Roxanne Lara is running for Congress – and that’s to be a vocal supporter of Nancy Pelosi for Speaker, and a loyal rubber stamp to her and Obama’s liberal agenda. Whether it will be voting for higher taxes, protecting ObamaCare, or more reckless spending, Lara will be a reliable vote for bigger government, and not an advocate for job creation that New Mexico’s families deserve.
7. Domenic Recchia, New York-11
Democrat liberal Domenic Recchia is another ally of Nancy Pelosi’s job-killing agenda. Last summer, when three of New York’s Democrats were facing misogynist charges and were receiving near universal condemnation, Recchia chose to remain silent. New York’s families need a congressman who will fight for lower taxes and job creation, not a coward who will blindly follow the Democratic Party and its liberal agenda.
8. Martha Robertson, New York-23
Martha Robertson’s campaign, despite having the blessing of (and money from) Nancy Pelosi, has been off to a terrible start. Her first campaign kick-off fundraiser was headlined for a former child molester, and a recent fundraising email made the wild claim that the Republican Party was trying to shut down her website. If Robertson can even get to Congress, she would be a reliable vote for higher taxes, more spending, and bigger government, an agenda that New York’s families can’t afford.
9. Kevin Strouse, Pennsylvania-08
Kevin Strouse is a loyal supporter of ObamaCare – unfortunately, he can’t get his facts right. Earlier this summer, Strouse tweeted that he had no idea what a repeal of ObamaCare had to do with jobs. Maybe he should have asked the labor unions who are increasingly frustrated with the law’s impact on hours and wages? Or he could actually listen to small business owners, who are increasingly concerned that ObamaCare will force them to fire workers and cut hours. If Strouse is this blind of a supporter of ObamaCare, you can only imagine how loyally he will follow Nancy Pelosi as Speaker.
10. Suzanne Patrick, Virginia-02
Suzanne Patrick has made it crystal clear that she sides with Nancy Pelosi’s liberal agenda and has no problem letting Pelosi fund her campaign for Congress. As with many other would-be candidates, Patrick will quickly learn that her devout support of Pelosi’s radical policies isn’t going to fly with Virginia’s families.
11. Ann Callis, Illinois-13
Not only will Ann Callis be a tireless advocate for Nancy Pelosi and her liberal agenda if she wins a seat in Congress, but her past experience has already deemed her unfit for office. Among judges in the state of Illinois outside Chicago, Callis has been ranked as the lowest in “legal ability,” which isn’t surprising considering her politically-connected father helped her get there. Not only would Callis be a disastrous choice to represent Illinois’ families in Congress, but her loyalty towards Nancy Pelosi would guarantee her role as a rubber stamp for Obama’s liberal agenda.
