Nancy Pelosi is District Shopping and Found a Tax and Spend Liberal to Run for Congress in Indiana

November 4, 2013

Joe Bock has decided to run for Congress and is launching his campaign today in Indiana.

Why Indiana?

Well, that’s because Joe “The Mad-Taxer” Bock overtaxed his home state of Missouri and had no choice but to run for office from a new state where folks don’t know about his tax and spend ways.

While Bock will announce today that he is a conservative Democrat running for Congress to fix the problems in Washington, what he doesn’t want you to remember is his time as a liberal state legislator in Missouri where he raised taxes.

In February 1992, Joseph Bock voted for a six-cent gasoline tax hike. (David Aguillard, “Gas Tax Advances in House 6-Cent Increase Backed by Margin of 125-35,” St. Louis Post-Dispatch, Feb. 12, 1992)

In May 1991, Joseph Bock voted for a $575 million tax hike that would involve higher individual and corporate income taxes. (Will Sentell, “Missouri House votes for tax plan $575 million boost would help pay for education, social programs,” The Kansas City Star, May 7, 1991)

Looks like Bock’s tax and spend ways have garnered the interest of Washington Democrats too. Bock already told local news outlets that Nancy Pelosi’s campaign arm, the DCCC, recruited him to run for this seat.

The last thing Hoosier families need in Washington is a liberal Democrat like Joe Bock who wants to increase their taxes so he can continue the reckless spending in our nation’s Capital. Bock is another Pelosi liberal who won’t represent Hoosier family values in Congress.
